Friday, December 18, 2009 

Tegucigalpa. The body of Carlos Turcios was found
decapitated and with his hands mutilated 30 minutes ago in Baracoa, Cortes, reported Andres Pavon, President of the Committee for the Defense of Human
Rights in Honduras (CODEH). 

  

Pavon informed Radio Globo that Turcios was
kidnapped from in front of his house in Choloma, Cortes at three in the
afternoon yesterday, Wednesday, by men wearing vests of the DGIC,
(National Directorate of Criminal Investigation), and carrying Galil rifles.  

  

Carlos Turcios was the vice president of the
resistance movement in Choloma and had been reported as disappeared
(kidnapped).  

  

Pavon said that copies of these reports are being
sent to Barack Obama in his role as Nobel Peace Prize winner so that he can
explain, “what he must do to stop these deaths”.

sus manos, fue encontrado el cadáver de Carlos Turcios, hace treinta minutos en
Baracoa, Cortés, informó Andrés Pavón, presidente del Comité para la Defensa de
los Derechos Humanos en Honduras (Codeh). 

  

Turcios había sido secuestrado frente
a su vivienda en Choloma, Cortés, a las tres de la tarde de ayer miércoles, por
hombres vestidos con chalecos de la DGIC, que portaban fusiles Galil, informó
Pavón a Radio Globo. 

  

Carlos Turcios era el vicepresidente
del movimiento de resistencia en Choloma y había sido reportado como
desaparecido. 

  

Pavón dijo que copias de estas
informaciones están siendo enviadas a Barack Obama, en su calidad de Premio
Nobel de la Paz, para que explique "qué debe hacerse para detener
estas muertes."
