Dear Friends and allies,

We hope you all are doing well. As you know the current situation in
Honduras is critical. After the Coup d’Etat that took place in Honduras on
June 28th 2009 the systemic violation of human rights have increased. We
are asking for your support in signing this public statement that the
member organizations of The National Alliance of Latin American and
Caribbean Communities (NALACC) are circulating. If your organization or
your church wants to endorse this statement, please reply to this message
with the name of your organization.

Thank you so much for your support!

Public statement against the violation of human rights in Honduras
On September 28, 2009 the member organizations of the National Alliance of
Latin American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC) and its allies declared:

•	We renew our condemnation, in the strongest of terms, of the coup d
'état in Honduras, and demand the restoration of constitutional order and
the reinstatement of President Manuel Zelaya.

•	We deplore the serious and systematic violations of the human rights of
the people of Honduras.
•	We urge the international community to implement the measures necessary
to help ensure the restitution and free exercise of the human rights of
the Honduran population.

•	We reiterate that after the coup d 'état of the 28th of June 2009, the
constitutional order of the country was dramatically altered and
represents a serious restriction of democratic freedoms in Honduras.

•	We denounce that currently in Honduras there are great difficulties for
the exercise of justice; similarly, we denounce the drastic limitations in
the exercise of freedom of the press.

•	We urge the Governments of the world to ignore the results of the
elections convened by the de facto Government, as was stated by the
Secretary General of the Organization of American States, and similarly
disregard any decision taken by that Government.
