<div>My name is Nikil Saval -- I'm an assistant editor at the magazine <a href="http://www.nplusonemag.com/" target="_blank">n+1</a>, and a graduate student in literature at Stanford University. My colleague Dan Archer, a comics journalist and instructor at Stanford (his website is <a href="http://www.archcomix.com/" target="_blank">www.archcomix.com</a>), and I have put together a graphic history of the coup in Honduras. Intended essentially as a primer to the crisis, the comic also places the coup in the context of US-Central American relations of the postwar period. </div>

<div>The comic was <a href="http://www.alternet.org/world/143325/striking_graphic_history_tells_story_of_honduras_coup_and_unrest/" target="_blank">published</a> on Alternet on October 17, and since then it has received coverage in <a href="http://www.boingboing.net/2009/10/18/honduran-coup-in-web.html" target="_blank">BoingBoing</a>,  <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/oct/21/comic-graphic-history-honduras-coup" target="_blank">The Guardian (UK)</a>, the magazine of School of the Americas Watch <a href="http://www.soaw.org/presente/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=247&Itemid=74" target="_blank">"Presente,"</a> and the news website <a href="http://operamundi.net/noticias_ver.php?idConteudo=1696" target="_blank">Opera Mundi</a> (Brasil).</div>

<div>I'm writing to share the comic with you and to get your thoughts. I've also pasted into this e-mail the Spanish translation that we've done. We'd like to get it up on an easily accessible website, but Dan and I are only familiar with national news media in Latin America, and not more international sources. We would greatly appreciate any thoughts and advice. Many, many thanks in advance. </div>
