<p>Tegucigalpa
(AFP). A well-known activist with the Resistance Front against the Coup
of June 28 in Honduras, Claudia Brizuela, was shot at and assassinated
today, Wednesday, February 24, in San Pedro Sula, north of country,
this group denounced.</p>
<p><br></p><p>“Today at 2:00 pm, unidentified people came to the Céleo Gonzáles
neighborhood, north of the city, knocked on Claudia Larissa Brizuela’s
(36 years old) door and shot her several times, killing her
immediately,” said a communique of the National Resistance Popular
Front, as it goes by its new name.</p>
<p><br></p><p>Brizuela was Pedro Brizuela’s daughter, ex-union member and one of
the oldest militants with the Honduran Communist Party. Nowadays, he
works with the Unified Democratic Party (UD) and is a columnist with La
Prensa newspaper. </p>
<p><br></p><p>“Pedro has manifested that the action was a message to him and
members of the Front, and that it was a cowardly crime that shows the
systematic aggression of terrorist groups and escalation of criminality
taking place with the consent of the government,” said the communique.</p>
<p><br></p><p>He declared that this was part of a “systematic and selective
aggression against members of the National Front of Resistance,” and
those who opposed the coup against Manuel Zelaya, but continue their
fight for a Constituent National Assembly, the foundation of the
republic but more importantly, a new constitution.</p>

varios disparos
en la cabeza a la señora Claudia Brizuela, en su casa de habitación
de la Colonia Céleo Gonzales en San Pedro Sula. Claudia era hija de don
Pedro Brizuela, miembro del Frente de Resistencia de San Pedro Sula y
que
apoya el trabajo comunicativo de Radio Uno.</span></p>

menos de un mes de
la llegada al poder del régimen de Porfirio Lobo Sosa, se han cometido
254 violaciones a los derechos humanos, unos nueve casos diarios, lo
que
contradice el discurso de respeto a los derechos fundamentales, que a
diario
pregona ante la comunidad internacional. </span></p>

la muerte de la
compañera Claudia ya suman tres LOS MARTIRES DE LA RESISTENCIA en este
