Tegucigalpa. June 26, 2011. The Extraordinary National Assembly of the
National Popular Front of Resistance unanimously approved the creation of a
broader political front that allows the participation of the resistance in
the next elections in 2013.

After debating, discussing and approving the repeal of agreement number 2 of
the National Assembly last February which prevented FNRP participation in
elections, Juan Barahona, Deputy Coordinator of the FNRP made the motion for
the creation of a political tool.

The discussion was based on the views expressed as to whether conditions
existed to participate in the upcoming general elections of 2013, including
those who maintained that these conditions had not been achieved yet and
those who declared that the return to the country of General Coordinator,
Manuel Zelaya, opens the doors to create the conditions in 2013 to seize
power from the oligarchy.

At the end of the discussion, the proposal of Barahona was submitted to a
vote. The Assembly unanimously approved the creation of a broad front for
the political struggle in the next elections of 2013 and ordered the
National Coordinators of the FNRP to create such a front.
