Tegucigalpa. June 26, 2011. The Extraordinary National Assembly of the
National Popular Front of Resistance unanimously approved the creation of a
broader political front that allows the participation of the resistance in
the next elections in 2013.

After debating, discussing and approving the repeal of agreement number 2 of
the National Assembly last February which prevented FNRP participation in
elections, Juan Barahona, Deputy Coordinator of the FNRP made the motion for
the creation of a political tool.

The discussion was based on the views expressed as to whether conditions
existed to participate in the upcoming general elections of 2013, including
those who maintained that these conditions had not been achieved yet and
those who declared that the return to the country of General Coordinator,
Manuel Zelaya, opens the doors to create the conditions in 2013 to seize
power from the oligarchy.

At the end of the discussion, the proposal of Barahona was submitted to a
vote. The Assembly unanimously approved the creation of a broad front for
the political struggle in the next elections of 2013 and ordered the
National Coordinators of the FNRP to create such a front.

Tegucigalpa. 26 Junio 2011.* La asamblea nacional extraordinaria del Frente
Nacional de Resistencia Popular aprobó por unanimidad la creación de un
frente amplio político que permite la participación de la resistencia en los
próximos procesos electorales de 2013.

Luego de debatir, discutir y aprobar la derogación del acuerdo número 2 de
la Asamblea Nacional de febrero pasado, que impedía la participación del
FNRP en procesos electorales, Juan Barahona, Sub Coordinador del FNRP
presentó la moción para la creación del instrumento político.
La discusión se basó en las posturas expresadas con respecto a si estaban
dadas las condiciones para participar en las próximas elecciones generales
del 2013, entre los que sostenían que estás condiciones no se habían logrado
aún y los que, por su parte, declaran que el regreso al país del Coordinador
General, Manuel Zelaya, abre las puertas para crear las condiciones y lograr
en 2013 arrebatarle el poder a la oligarquía.

Al cabo de la discusión, se sometió a votación la propuesta de Barahona,
aprobando la Asamblea por unanimidad la creación del frente amplio para la
lucha política en los próximos procesos electorales del 2013 y ordenando a
la Coordinación Nacional del FNRP la creación del mismo.
