Michael Oren, the "Israeli" Zionist regime's ambassador to the "US",
is going to be speaking at 4:30PM today Monday, during the Honduras
conference in a different room at Harvard KSG . (See attachment
below). I am going to be outside with some people protesting against
the "Israeli" ambassador. We will include at least a sign calling to
restore Zelaya and oppose the coup and phony election in Honduras.
We will be in complete solidarity with anyone going in to the
Honduras conference to speak truth there in support of the Honduran
resistance to the golpistas.
I am wondering if the KSG Honduras Conference and the appearance by
Ambassador Oren are connected. Dr. Pastor, do you know if any of the
conference panelists are meeting with Ambassador Oren?
There is clearly an Israeli connection to the coup in Honduras. The
"Israeli" government, as well as their partner the "US" government,
are clearly attempting to influence and interfere with politics in
Latin America.
After the governments of Venezuela and Bolivia expelled the Israeli
ambassadors (in reaction to the Israeli genocidal military attack
against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip) last winter, here in Boston
the Israeli Consulate and pro-Israel Jewish groups held several large
events against Venezuela, Bolivia and Argentina at which the Jewish
groups alleged "anti-semitism" in South America.
In the first three days of June of this year, Israeli Deputy Foreign
Minister Danny Ayalon attended the Organization of American States
(OAS) meeting in Honduras. Ayalon's stated aim was to counter
Iranian & Hizballah influence in Latin America.

government was apparently unable to impose conditions to block the
invitation to Cuba to rejoin the OAS. The Cuban government welcomed
the decision but refused to rejoin.)
Ten days after the OAS meeting, on June 12th, the Iranian
presidential election was held. President Ahmadinejad was re-
elected. The Western imperialist media went into a propaganda frenzy
against Iran, falsely accusing the Iranian government of falsifying
the election results. US/UK/Israeli agents staged riots and shot
people at peaceful gatherings in Iran to try to instigate a "color
revolution" to overthrow the independent anti-imperialist
progressive Iranian government.
On June 24, ALBA (the Bolivarian Alliance fair trade block that
consisted of Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Honduras, and
Dominica) held a meeting at which three new countries (Ecuador,
Antigua & Barbuda, and St Vincent & the Grenadines) became ALBA
members. Iran has been an official observer at ALBA since 2007. At
the June 24, 2009, meeting ALBA adopted a resolution pledging support
for "the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the institutions of the Islamic
Republic of Iran, and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad" and rejecting
"foreign interference and the campaign to discredit Iran's June 12th

The coup in Honduras deposing President Zelaya occurred on June 24
four days after the ALBA meeting.
The coup and post-coup repression in Honduras is clearly against the
poor people of Honduras and is an attempt by the wealthy elite of
Honduras and foreign imperialists to keep stealing from Honduras and
from the people of Honduras.
But the events in Honduras are also occurring within a Latin
American international context and within a worldwide international
context. The coup in Honduras is an attack against ALBA, an attack
against Venezuela and Cuba and Bolivia and all the ALBA countries.
The coup in Honduras is part of the imperialist attempt to stop an
alternative vision and alternative economic system of fair trade that
ALBA is developing. This alternative economic system, that would
bypass the IMF and World Bank, is a threat to the worldwide hegemony
of US/UK/European/Israeli-based monopolistic corporations. ALBA is
engaging in more and more mutually beneficial economic cooperation
with other progressive countries around the world such as Iran and
China. The report from the recent ALBA meeting mentioned that the
Venezuelan government is planning to share access to its new Chinese-
made communications satellite with the other ALBA countries. Hugo
Chavez has said that the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the
Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela are playing key roles in a process
of shaping a new international order, a revolutionary economy at the
service of human beings rather than capital. http://

Imperialists are using the coup in Honduras to try to break the ties
of economic cooperation between ALBA and Iran and China and other
countries. Imperialists tried to stage a counter-revolutionary coup
in Iran at the same time as the (so-far) successful coup in
Honduras. Zionist imperialists are threatening war against Iran and
Venezuela and are pressuring ALBA to drop their solidarity with
Iran. Imperialists are using disingenuous "ultra-leftist" anti-
Muslim propaganda to try to turn socialist activists, who support
ALBA, against Iran. Imperialist agents also instigated riots in
Urumqi in western China in July. Western media anti-China propaganda
used the Urumqi riots to accuse China of oppressing Muslims. This is
an imperialist attempt to turn Iranians and other Muslims against China.
Imperialists are also trying to pressure Latin American countries to
support continued Jewish-supremacist colonial occupation of Palestine
and to continue to support the UN occupation of Haiti and imperialist
refusal to allow the restoration of President Aristide to Haiti.
I'm not saying that one factor is more important than another, just
trying to point out some of the things going on and their relation to
what is happening in Honduras. It is curious that the Israeli
ambassador will be in the building this afternoon. The Carr Center
has ties with the US State Department and the Council on Foreign
Relations. It is one of Harvard's elite imperialist thinktanks.
